Deutz Diesel Engines

Faster and faster, more and more powerful. These are the laws that must be obeyed by a modern diesel engine. So the objective for DEUTZ was: to create an innovative prime mover solution in the medium core power class range, for industrial applications. The 2012 series follows these laws. It is an advanced liquid-cooled 4 and 6 cylinder in-line engine with external cooling and power output rating from 60 to 155kW. And built following the proven Deutz Modular principle, of course.

Additional power and torque output have been achieved by increasing the swept volume to 1.01 liters per cylinder. Where high torque is considered more essential than high power, this can be accommodated via a wastegate turbocharger option. With a single-pump high-pressure fuel injection system and featuring low-swirl combustion, it makes a major contribution to economical fuel consumption while featuring low exhaust emissions. Noise-optimized components allowing silent engine running reduce the cost of additional noise insulation measures. Flexible power take-off options allow the universal attachment of equipment and auxiliaries. In addition to power take-off at flywheel end, auxiliaries can also be attached at the gear train - eg compressors and hydraulic pumps. The engine is designed in such a way that high power take-off is also possible opposite flywheel end.
